Eligibility Criteria for C-DAC PG Diploma Courses

The Post Graduate Diploma programs offered by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing are intensive, full-time courses designed to make students industry-ready. Each program typically spans around 900 hours, which is approximately 24 weeks (6 months).

Mode of Course Delivery

C-DAC courses are delivered in different formats depending on the program and training centre:

Online or Physical Mode (depending on centre)
PG-DAC, PG-DBDA, PG-DAI

Fully Physical (Classroom-based)
PG-DESD, PG-DITISS, PG-DMC, PG-DIoT, PG-DVLSI, PG-DASSD, PG-DHPCSA

Fully Online
PG-DRAT, PG-DGi, PG-DFBD, PG-DCSF

For online programs, students should have a laptop or desktop with a stable high-speed internet connection, along with a webcam and microphone. Attending classes through mobile phones is not recommended.

Common Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet at least one of the following conditions:

Engineering degree (10+2+4 or 10+3+3) in fields such as IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related areas

or

Postgraduate degree (10+2+3+2) such as MSc/MS in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics

Some courses may have additional subject-specific requirements. The minimum percentage required will be considered as per the rules of the candidate’s university.

Category I (Section A in C-CAT)

PG-DGi (Geoinformatics)
Mode: Fully Online
Eligibility: Common eligibility, or a degree in Geosciences, Civil, Agriculture, Forestry, or related fields, or a postgraduate degree in Geography, Geology, Mathematics, or allied areas
Minimum Marks: 50%

Category II (Sections A + B in C-CAT)

PG-DAC (Advanced Computing)
Mode: Online or Physical
Eligibility: Engineering graduates (any stream), MCA/MCM, or postgraduates in Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics
Minimum Marks: 50%

PG-DBDA (Big Data Analytics)
Mode: Online or Physical
Minimum Marks: 55%

PG-DAI (Artificial Intelligence)
Mode: Online or Physical
Minimum Marks: 60%

PG-DMC (Mobile Computing)
Mode: Fully Physical
Eligibility: Common eligibility, or MCA, or postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics
Minimum Marks: 50%

PG-DITISS (IT Infrastructure, Systems & Security)
Mode: Fully Physical
Minimum Marks: 55%

PG-DIoT (Internet of Things)
Mode: Fully Physical
Minimum Marks: 55%

PG-DASSD (Advanced Secure Software Development)
Mode: Fully Physical
Minimum Marks: 55%

PG-DHPCSA (HPC System Administration)

PG-DFBD (FinTech & Blockchain Development)
Mode: Fully Online
Minimum Marks: 60%

PG-DCSF (Cyber Security & Forensics)

Category III (Sections A + B + C in C-CAT)

PG-DESD (Embedded Systems Design)
Mode: Fully Physical
Minimum Marks: 55%

PG-DVLSI (VLSI Design)
Mode: Fully Physical
Minimum Marks: 55%

PG-DRAT (Robotics & Allied Technologies)
Mode: Fully Online
Eligibility: Common eligibility or a background in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering
Minimum Marks: 55%

Additional Important Information

There is no age limit for admission to C-DAC PG Diploma courses. Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying degree can also apply.

Such candidates will be given provisional admission, provided that they complete their degree before the course begins and submit proof of passing with the required minimum marks.

Candidates should carefully verify their eligibility before applying. If at any stage it is found that the eligibility criteria are not met, the admission may be cancelled immediately.
